The short version This extension reads your Claude.ai usage figures from your own logged-in browser session and displays them in the sidebar. It sends nothing anywhere, stores no personal data, and has no servers. There is no tracking, no analytics, and no account.

What the extension does

Claude Gauge shows your current session and weekly usage as small meters inside the Claude.ai sidebar. To do this, while you are on claude.ai it requests your usage figures from the same Claude.ai endpoint the website itself uses, using your existing logged-in session. The numbers are rendered locally in your browser.

What data is accessed

This information is read at the moment it is displayed and is not retained after the page is closed.

What data is collected, stored, or shared

None. The extension has no backend server and no database. It does not transmit any information to the developer or to any third party. It does not use cookies of its own, advertising identifiers, analytics, or trackers. It does not read your conversations, prompts, account details, or any page content other than the usage figures described above.

Permissions

The extension requests access only to claude.ai, which is required to read and display your usage there. It requests no other host permissions and no access to other sites or browsing activity.

Data retention and deletion

Because no data is collected or stored, there is nothing to retain or delete. Removing the extension removes everything it does.
